I find the people in HCMC very soft-spoken & friendly. The only problem I had was the language, Vietnamese, which is quite a tongue twister. The majority of them do not speak English at all and thats a real problem when it comes to shopping or ordering food. However there are also a large population of Chinese in HCMC who speaks Cantonese.
