HCMC, Vietnam - GPO & Notre Dame Cathedral

Fact: Ho Chi Minh City is formerly known as Saigon. HCMC is the heart and soul of Vietnam. It's a bustling, dynamic and industrious centre, the largest city in the country, the economic capital and the cultural trendsetter.

General Post Office, HCMC
Fact: Located in the heart of the city, the Central Post Office has been a prominent feature of the Ho Chi Minh City. This grand old edifice was constructed between 1886 and 1891 by Gustave Eiffel. The architectural design of this Central Post Office represents the French colonial style. It is no doubt the biggest post office in Vietnam and is an important commercial center of the Ho Chi Minh City.

Notre Dame Cathedral


Facts: Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, in Vietnamese Nha Tho Duc Ba, is a cathedral located in the downtown of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This cathedral was established by French colonists in 1863 and was finally completed in 1880. This building has two bell towers reaching 58 m tall.
